I think they should offer transfers on races for a fee that more than covers the admin time to make the change. Make the fee $20 or $25, set a cut off date a couple weeks before the race and it won't be abused.protometal @ clippinalong.blogspot.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00136868195365402745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7853987523090091382.post-26622264126471786762013-05-15T15:04:30.434-04:002013-05-15T15:04:30.434-04:00This is something I've wondered about. It seems like it makes so much sense to allow people to transfer their bibs, since it's not like there are security checks being done for every entrant. I wish there was a standardized transfer process!Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10413371644902006675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7853987523090091382.post-37931581327127058982013-05-14T23:05:25.105-04:002013-05-14T23:05:25.105-04:00I think they should all allow transfers. It seems...I think they should all allow transfers. It seems a bit shady to run a finishing time for someone else, and that's what they're going to do if transfers aren't allowed. How would people feel if I signed up and had my husband run me a 3:00 marathon to qualify for Boston (and NYC for that matter)?Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01212228308225991239noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7853987523090091382.post-48420917406400846292013-05-14T21:02:21.652-04:002013-05-14T21:02:21.652-04:00GREAT post and legitimate points! It seems much more legitimate to me to have some sort of system for transferring. Great points though! I think more races should offer a transfer option. There are a few races I've missed that I would have been happy to transfer my bib to another runner.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
